GA/FLA Weekend Win!

This weekend was AWESOME! Seriously, it was one of the best weekends of 2011 for us! Nothing major happened, except of course, GA beating FL in the GA/FL game which was a much needed and unexpected win this season, and other than that we had no huge plans which is why it was so fabulous! No joke, our schedule is crazy-busy, busy, busy. Brandon works around the clock sometimes 7 days a week, I coordinated 3 weddings in October, & we have so many fun events & plans constantly with friends, that I wouldn't change for the world......with that being said, we had the most relaxing, laid back weekend and we loved every minute of it! Friday, the Fall Festival at church got rescheduled because it started raining, so we all hung out & had pizza & movie night. Sat., Brandon made us the most amazing breakfast in bed & we cheered on the Dawgs that evening! Sunday, we worked on Colton's room & new furniture in Jackson's room & went to the Fall Festival at church. Good times! Back tracking a little, Thursday/Friday I had 24 hours all to myself with just Colton while Brandon & Jackson went to visit Nana & Gramps. We went to the Pink Pig, but I want to write all about that in a whole separate blog entry because it was so special and a 24 hour period that I will always remember. 


Last weekend was super fun (and crazy busy!) I had a wedding rehearsal and coordinated a beautiful wedding with A Flawless Event at Piedmont Driving Club, Lisa & Michael hosted the annual Gore Halloween Party, and we all co-hosted Brian & Jenny's baby shower on Sunday to prepare for Baby Gore Grandson #6 coming by Christmas! It was a really beautiful day to celebrate with friends & family at my in-laws. 

So looking forward to Halloween tomorrow with Thomas the Train & James the Train! This exact day two years ago I had my hysterectomy due to the borderline ovarian cancer and so Halloween is so extra special to me, since I am still bitter I missed that one year with the boys when they were a lion & a tiger (-; We will be celebrating with The Oliver's for our 4th year together at Halloween with our kiddos! 

Annual Preschool Costume Parade!

Jackson (James the Train) & Colton (Thomas the train) had their annual Preschool Costume Parade yesterday. 

I love this tradition-it is so exciting & brings tears of joy to my eyes! The children look beyond adorable & the teachers dress up in fun costumes!

Colton's First Football Injury

Jackson & Colton have been loving Sportykes-it's a 12 week Sports Program where they learn the basic fundamentals of each sport which will help them determine later which sport they would like to play (genius, right!?)-so far, they have had 3 weeks of t-ball, 3 weeks of basketball, 3 weeks of football, and have 3 weeks of soccer left to go this season. Well, my little future UGA football players (one can hope & dream, right!?) play hard core and today Colton got his first Football Injury....bless his heart! 

First Days of 3 Year Old Preschool

The first days of the twins beginning 3 year old preschool were filled with excitement, disbelief, & anticipation of another great year with their buddies at their preschool. 

They have been attending HUMC Preschool since they were actually 6 months old-they went one half day a week and by the time I got both carriers in with the double stroller, I had just enough time to got to Publix before picking them up again, but it was worth it especially when I saw Ms. Lori on that Tuesday-I knew I would get a few hours of peace! The next year, they went 2 half days with Ms. Jackie & had a great time! The next year was a big year-they still went 2 days with Ms. Jeannine & Ms. Fran but they learned so much. 

According to my friends, this year at Hillside with Ms. Ellen & Ms. Lauren will be the biggest year of change from birth to 5 years old. Even the teachers said they will grow & change drastically over the Christmas Break. 

If I could just bottle up these little twins into being 3 years old forever, I would! They are so freaking adorable & we feel so blessed to be their Momma & Daddy that even on a rough day, I know it will pass & still try to enjoy even those days. Currently, I am reading Shepherding a Child's Heart that is teaching me lots about raising the boys with discipline, grace, & manners & an overall sense of being good citizens in society. I really like it and already picked out the book I am going to read next. These books really give me insight & inspiration and help me handle the tough days with ease!
