Even surgery doesn't slow Cdawg Down!

This past Friday, Colton (AKA-Cdawg, which we refer to him as when he is in his "go-getter" mode), had surgery for re-circumcision. It was serious enough that he had to be put under, with the tube down his throat, IV, and probably some other things that daddy knows about and is better that Mommy doesn't know happened, bc he came out with 4 bandaides after surgery everywhere from his foot, wrist, arm, and leg. Well, we already thought this kid was meant to play football for UGA when he was in my tummy, then the pastor declared that he was a future UGA football player at his baptism, and now this! Prior to surgery, we were in private rooms at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (all my work with Dance Marathon at UGA is now paying off as good karma bc we are there a lot and it is an amazing facility!), all the babies were screaming bc they haven't had food or a bottle since the night before. Surprisingly, my lil baby Colton, who LOVES to eat, was riding around on a lil pink car. After surgery, we were in private recovery rooms and hear EVERY baby down the hall screaming like crazy, not taking their bottles, etc. and here comes Cdawg-chillin while holding his own bottle (he had a little cast holding his IV on his arm!?) rolling in on his hospital bed! He never once cried before surgery, after surgery, or the weekend following! We are convinced the 2 weeks he spent in the NICU when he was born must have broken him in! We didn't even end up needing the prescription for the pain that they thought we would need! Friday, after surgery, he was bouncing off the walls, standing, trying to walk, crawling all over the place with more energy than we could imagine! Saturday, our nephews, Jesse & Joey came to visit and play with Uncle Michael. Then, we went to Juliana's 1st birthday party (the twins' Godparents' daughter), Sunday we went to Right Wing Tavern for brunch, and to visit Heather & the girls. He is such a trooper! Since we were so proud of him the twins' got their new Laugh & Learn play house which we swear, must be created by someone who has twins, bc it has 2 sides and is the first toy Colton hasn't tried to steal from Jackson! Whew! Overall, the weekend couldn't have gone better and now we are gearing up for Jackson's surgery for his tubes! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
