Happy September! It is Fall (although it will remain to feel like summer in Atlanta for a while) it is time for UGA & Falcons football, pumpkin patches, Back to School, & new sports for the twins! We had quite a busy & fun summer which is evident as I don't think I have had time to post anything besides pictures in my blog. I'll go with the motto of many of my other friends with blogs and instead of trying to play catch up, just start from the present time! It is much easier to stay up to date on the blog now that the boys have started back at preschool!
Let's see....in May, we celebrated the twins 3rd birthday at DAC Kids Pirate Cove-they had a fun pirate party with 30 of their buddies! In June, I coordinated 2 beautiful weddings with Amy, we spent many days at the neighborhood & Lifetime Pool with friends, & had LOTS of fun playdates. The twins went to their first movie in the movie theater, first dentist appointment, lots of firsts! They had a very healthy 3 year old check up and are growing like weeds! In July, we had a fun July 4th watching fireworks with friends, my hubby finished working on our boat so now we can take 8 people out on the boat on the lake which is super exciting. We were lucky enough to take 2 FABULOUS trips to the beach-the first one was to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and it was JUST me & Brandon at our favorite spot we go annually-Sandestin Beach Resort. Needless to say, it was amazing! We came home for a couple days, I went to the Britney Spears concert with Heather (we had an awesome suite!) and then took a big family beach trip to St. George Island to my inlaws beach house. It was so fun because we were there for 7 days with sorority sister, Stephanie & her family & kids, my brother and sister in law and their son, the grandparents, & our family. One of the best trips ever! We did a family photo shoot that was a complete disaster but still cherish the photos either way!
I volunteered as Recruitment Advisor for my sorority in Athens for the 3rd year, had a blast with a bunch of my alumni friends who helped and spent several days in Athens working on it, we had a great rush with 68 new members! Jackson & Colton started back at Hillside UMC Preschool going 3 half days a week and got to be in class with their buddies from last year. I'm on the board again this year & we had a great board meeting to kick off the new school year. Love that place so much! Besides starting back at preschool, the boys also started their FIRST sports activity called Sportykes where they try out basketball, t-ball, football, & soccer over a 12 week period. Two of my friends have their kids in the same class so it is fun to hang out with them every Weds. while our kids learn all the fundamentals of each sport! Meanwhile, I coordinated 2 weddings in August with Amy and have been crazy busy!
The Fall is busy with weddings-2 in Sept., 3 in October, & 2 in November, but then there is a big break and we don't have any weddings planned for a while after that!
